This is going back a few years now, but did anybody here get to the 2003 Auckland Armageddon convention and remember the Star Wars display, of props, costumes and collectibles, that a few of us put on? Since that time, the range of lifesize statues, props, and rare/interesting collectibles available amongst local collectors has grown substantially, and I was wanting to gauge the level of interest in seeing a display along these lines, at an Armageddon convention, again. I imagine that something with a lot more variety, and a few surprises, could be put together.
What sort of things would you be most interested in seeing at such a display?
More photos from that 2003 event can be seen here.

I definitely remember It was my first convention ever and I specifically remember R2 (and the eleven armour but that's a different display).
I'd be really keen to see a display like that again

Unfortunately I wasn't there, but wish I was after seeing the pics.
I'd love to see another display like that happen. And also keen to provide an RC'd R2 to the line up if there's space of course.
I've just upgraded my R2's radio control to a NZ legal unit, so he's amping to get out into public

Thanks Barry; your droid would definitely be welcome.
Still in the planning/contemplative stage at the moment, but keep an eye on this thread for updates.

Re: Star Wars display at Armageddon
That was a few years before I starting going to Armageddon again but I think it'd be real cool to have something similar set up at future events, Star Wars displays always seem to draw a pretty decent crowd throughout the days
I don't think I've got anything right now but if/when I add some stuff to my collection I'd be happy to lend it for a display

Re: Star Wars display at Armageddon
Have been putting a bit of thought in to the logistics of this recently, and, in order to fully assess viability, have made inquiries in to the cost of the floor space.
Also, just some trivia for those who weren't aware, SWNZ actually had stands (that we paid for) at Auckland and Wellington Armageddons, back in 2001 and 2002 (prior to the website's re-launch and re-branding in 2003).
Here's Peter Mayhew at our stand back in 2002:
