Celebration V - pics from the web

Post by MattG »

Sigh...going to have to enjoy the Star Wars Celebration convention (C-V) over the internet this time around. Looks like there will be some interesting photos and coverage though...I get the impression that fan groups (501st, R2Builders etc) will be contributing a lot with life-size displays etc.

Rebelscum's coverage already includes some of the main vendors:

Gentle Giant - http://www.rebelscum.com/c5/GentleGiant/default.asp
Hasbro - http://www.rebelscum.com/c5/hasbro/
General set-up - http://www.rebelscum.com/C5/Setting_Up/

Looks like it'll be an amazing convention to be it with so much life size awesomeness. The Hasbro booth is a little underwhelming so far, being just a retread of the SDCC material, but they have said they'll be showing a lot more so I expect we may get some reveals occuring over the course of the weekend and the lion's share of announcements in the official slideshow. I'm looking forward to those, especially getting a look at the remaining 2010 waves for the CW line. Supposedly there's at least one big exclusive reveal that we have no clue about yet. I'm curious to see what that is.

Now, is that meant to be Leia? And Luke? Don't even get me started on Lando... man, neither one of those busts looks a thing like Carrie, Mark or Billy.

They are terrible.

It's hard being at home for this one :( Impressed by the incredible life size items on display, and looking forward to seeing more costume photos as they come over the weekend :)
