A really tricky one to predict how fast the new 2022 tickets might sell, but I think there is a real risk they will be even crazier than 2020 because there will be many fewer, and it will have been a few years since the last one.

If you are happy to write the already purchased tickets off as a sunk cost, then from a decision analytic point of view, the best strategy is to keep your 3 passes and try and get a Saturday pass (from memory, 4 day passes sold out faster than any single day in 2020)... that way the best scenario is having all four tickets, but the worst is still having tickets for 3 days. You could save some money with different strategies, but it'd be a gamble as to how many tickets/days you end up with.

I missed out on the four day SW Celebration four day pass and only managed to purchase the Thursday, Friday and Sunday separate day passes. The cost of three separate days all came to worth more than the four day pass! Now with Star Wars Celebration 2020 officially postponed to 2022, should I request a refund and try to purchase a four day pass, or just live with missing out on the Saturday in 2022?

Thanks Matt, i'll take your advise and try for a separate Saturday pass at a later day. I've also purchase merchandise (tee-shirt), wondering on your opinion if this and the stormtrooper pins will be posted to NZ? Also have you purchased tickets?

Not sure how it currently is, but the waitlist on Lyte went from being longer than a queue for Star Wars (1977), to being really short (like, the line for Rise of Skywalker), 'cause everyone was choosing not to go in the early days of the pandemic.

How's it looking at the moment for those on the list?

Yeah, it's a bit of a weak consolation prize. The trooper pin is nice, but in the cosmic scheme of things doesn't make up for the (understandable) delay.

I've just made the difficult decision to request a refund via Lyte
I had only managed to gain Thursday, Friday and Sunday tickets for the price of the four day pass and with another change in dates bringing it to now within a year away, I thought it was the sensible choice while the refund offer was available 'again'. Pleased I got three Stormtrooper pins and my Celebration Tee shirt though. Hopefully they will be having another Celebration in 2023, in which time I will make sure I gain a four day pass :?
