Gig at the rising sun k road

Post by oota goota »

Hi all might be a bit off topic but my band ' rumple and stiltskin' is playing at the rising sun (373 k road) at about 9pm- ish friday June 11th.

It is our habit to play in costume and this gig it's STORMTROOPERS! I am busting out my paintball outfit to see what it's like to play a gig in. We will no doubt record it so I will paste a link here too.

Our band is drums and bass and is what happens when punk meets drum and bass meets dr seuss

cheers
Jon

Cool man, if I was in Auckland I would love to come along! DnB is definately a bit of me, plus Stormtroopers to boot... awesome. Hope it goes real well mate, and I'd love to see some footage!

Thanks Will thanks Matt. Yeah it's going to be a good laugh. The band we are supporting has no idea what we are going to do so I'm sure a few jaws will drop.

we had a dress rehearsal my poor drummer mate Pete completely dehydrated after 45 mins! Our stunt suits are damned hot but well suited to a drum kit/ bass etc etc

I'll post some stuff next week

here's a couple of pics of dress rehearsal today. The stunt suits are AWESOME for drumming.

I'm on bass and yes I know it looks like I'm just bloody standing there but I am actually playing the imperial march with some vigor I tell you! :)

Well my ears have stopped ringing and have recovered from beer and glayva. We had a great time and a really fun gig. That one is going to be a tough one to beat costume wise.

The suits looked pretty legit under lights, people who asked were suprised that it was foam and vinyl.

here's a couple of pics. Just got to reco the suit a bit for Hansagan then game on for the film

That's awesome!! I would've loved to have seen that spectical :woot:

Being a bit of a drummer myself, I can't imagine how hard it would be doing a gig dressed like that. Legend!
