Re: Funko Pops

I popped into The Warehouse to pick up some post lock-down supplies and was surprised to see they'd gotten in a new batch of Funkos.

I had the Star Wars ones except for Ahsoka so I had to grab her. In all honesty I didn't watch the Clone Wars series (maybe 6 or 7 episodes) so if it wasn't for her great depiction in The Mandarlorian I probably wouldn't have brought her but that would have been a HUGE mistake.

The colours and detailing on this figure are amazing and I was blown away by how great she looks. Like the Revan pop she has the two light sabers but is holding them in more of an 'action' type if pose which I think makes her look better than the Revan version.

That's interesting... TW have been pretty random in terms of the Star Wars Funko they get in. Cool if there are some actual new ones on the shelves.

They had the Ahsoka pop and Dagobah Yoda mixed in with a heap of Star Trek, K-Pop, and Rainbow Pride figures.....I was hoping the Stormtrooper would be there but it was just Deadpool and Mickey Mouse.

A real random bunch of pops.

I'm not sure why but my local Warehouse just restocked their Funkos again.....not that I'm complaining lol.

I found the rainbow Stormtrooper pop that I was trying to find a few days ago. I really like these special edition figures and this one has already shot to the top of that list.

The colours look so good and I think it's awesome that the base is bright as well and not just black...a black base would have dulled it down a lot and really taken away from its overall look.

I finally got my Funko order from Mighty Ape (stupid covid lockdown)

The first pop I opened was the one I wasn't so sure about.....the comic version Vader. I was so happy when I finally got him in my hands though. The colours look amazing and I was totally blown away with the packaging. I'm so glad I added him to the collection.

It's so good to see Funko adding these kinds of figures to the line, I know some collectors get a bit angry that they use the same sculpts and just alter the colour scheme but I quite like that as they look awesome on display.

The second figure has to be my absolute favourite Funko of all time....The Mandarlorian Boba Fett.

His helmet has to be the best Mandarlorian Funko version ever, the colours are spot on and the metallic look of the scratches gives off the feel of depth and actual damage.

The body of the pop has so much detail, Funko haven't missed a thing. I couldn't have asked for a better Boba Funko and can't see them ever producing another version as good as this one.

The next pop is the one I was really looking forward to.....The unmasked Mandarlorian with Grogu.

I really like the Mandarlorian figures but I was waiting for a Funko with his helmet removed. I have so many with his helmet on that they tend to blend into each other when they're side by side so it's great to have something a bit different.

The pop itself is very similar bodywise to the other Mandarlorians but like most people I brought it for the face not the body lol

The fourth and last pop to arrive in my Mighty Ape package was the Dark Trooper from The Mandalorian.

The first thing I noticed with this figure is that he's very well made and has a real solid feel to him when he's in hand. Unfortunately he looks look a black void in the box because of his nearly all black design.

I know that's how looks in the show but I'd liked to have seen Funko add a bit of matte black or metallic black just to add some contrast to him.

Big Mighty Ape delivery! Love the comic-style Vader and Tem Fett especially.

The Pictures of the Boba Fett pop honestly don't do it justice....its an amazing figure and one I one hundred and ten percent recommend people grab.

Even if you're not much of a Funko collector it's an awesome piece of Fett merchandise.
