Star Wars autographs

Post by MattG »

I know we've had a few autograph threads before, but I've just been scanning up some of the Star Wars celebrity autographs we've collected over time, in order to archive them and use them in SWNZ articles. I've started with the kiwi voice and face actors involved in the films. Because some of them are quite new, I don't think I've ever got them all online in one place yet.

I took this way back on 10th December 1984, when I was working the watch house at the Tokoroa Police Station. The theatre manager over the road walked in, so I got him to pose for a standard mug shot and duly sent it in for processing when the roll of film was all used. Photo Section sent the picture back, together with the negative, without any comment. Dave Prowse autographed it about eight or ten years ago. He quite enjoyed it.
My memory of the suit was that it was fibreglass, and the helmet was very sturdy and had a peculiar odour all of its own...

I haven't actively pursued getting autographs much, but I was lucky enough to get the Maker himself when he visited NZ a few years ago. :D That was pretty neat.

I've got some autographed CCG cards I had done in about '95 - Artoo, Greedo, Chewie, Oola, Bib Fortuna - been looking for them all day to no avail.
