I own only a few SSC pieces, but recently I was asked to exhibit some of my collection in a boutique cinema to celebrate the opening of TFA. Jabba and his critter buddies seemed like a great centerpiece for the exhibit, and an excellent excuse for me to finally finish building the diorama I always hoped to build around him. The following pictures show Jabba and his pals in their glass case at the cinema. I was limited by the display case they had and the lights could not be moved more than a few cms, so the lighting isn't ideal, but it still turned out pretty well. Making the creepy alien food to dress around his dais was lots of fun, and I used the staging to tell little stories, like the Dwarf Varactyl stealing a berry/egg-thing from a spilled plate, or Salacious crumb having torn some of the worm-filled dumplings in sauce.
I look forward to getting the display back home in a few weeks and building a proper, permanent display case for it to live in, down in my hobby room.

Phenomenal work Strone. Love the detail and thought that's gone into it - it'd be great seeing people's reactions as they notice each of those little story-like elements playing out around the dais.

Thanks, mate. It has certainly been fun watching kids especially spotting things in the diorama.

Thanks, everyone.
Now to finish making all the others I have started, some as long as eighteen years ago ... gulp.
