Marvel Star Wars titles, 2015 onwards

Post by MattG »

Received a copy of Marvel's Star Wars no.1 today. Did anybody else pick up a copy, with a different cover image?

This issue also has previews of the upcoming Darth Vader and Princess Leia limited series. I'm personally quite keen to grab those too, as well as the "Kanan: The Last Padawan" comics (set before the Rebels animated series) that has been teased on StarWars.com ( http://www.starwars.com/news/your-first ... -exclusive ).

Indeed. Many/most were retailer exclusives. The one we grabbed was from ThinkGeek (just 'cause we had some other stuff inbound from them).

Here's a pretty comprehensive gallery of the variants: http://www.bleedingcool.com/2014/12/11/ ... tan-sakai/

I love that one with Luke and Han, in armour, flanking Leia!

This is a cool wee read, too:

As well as looking forward to the "Aftermath" novel, I'm really keenly anticipating the upcoming post-ROTJ comic series "Shattered Empire". The interior art shown in some preview pages looks fantastic.

You know, I am stoked that we're not getting the "happy ending", which the Expanded Universe told... it just wasn't Star Wars.

Yes, I think this short series is one worth having physical copies of. It'll show up probably a a week and a bit after Force Friday.

I think this release schedule is pretty up to date: http://www.starwarstimeline.com/comics.html (they have some of the known variant covers if you scroll down).
