These would be great to collect if they weren't so hideously over-priced (which is partly thanks to Toyworld pricing). :(

Yeah, they can be slightly less insanely priced if you are able to source them from the US or via someone like BookDepository (with their awesome free international shipping), but if you're entirely reliant on Toyworld for your supply, ouch. They are certainly a step above what most of us are used to paying for minis though, especially if you're of the Micro Machines generation like so many of us are, but I would also agree that they are MUCH nicer.

If anyone is interested in the game itself (i.e., not just collecting the cool spaceships), there have been regional tournaments culminating in a national event on November 16th in Auckland:

They certainly look really great, but the cost puts me off, I guess it'd be a bonus if i had a circle of friends who played, Then i might collect them rather than 3 inch figures.

Though i hope to see this level of detail else where, perhaps in my dreams where the action fleet gets brought back ^_^

FFG's new playmats are so beautiful I'd consider buying them to hang as art prints.
