Star Wars: 1313 - new "darker" game franchise

Artwork has TIEs and Lambda-class shuttles, so it's looking good for an OT-era setting.

Bring it on, hope it's not a replacement for the live action show but a precursor

Yeah - not too much in that footage to make it look "Star Wars". Hopefully that will change.

that's good point, very generic Sf looking with the exception of the ship that they were in. The guys didn't look particularly Star Warsy.... how hard can it be

Not just that but the cover shooting mechanics look too similar to Mass Effect 3 and Gears of War which to be honest has been done to death.

At least with The Force Unleashed, you got to see some Force Based physics in action with Euphoria and Havok coding at work.

Lucasarts should have teamed up with Dice and used their new Frostbite 2 Engine for Battlefront III.

That play style is quite big for certain classes in SWTOR too.

THATS the game I'd like to see. I loved BF 1 and 2, never played rogue squadron but it looked pretty cool too.

MightyApe actually has preorders up already for the XBox 360, PS3 and PC - glad to see that pc gamers are being included this time, but even with ILM helping out with the graphics etc, I'm not sure it's Star Warsy enough to pull me away from SWTOR (I'm usually only interested in a game if I can be a force user, though Battlefront was an exception). I'd be interested to try a demo if they put one out though.
