My Costume has become a prop

Post by Deadalus Thorn »

I posted this on the outpost, but thought I would share here too as not everyone is a member of both.

Well its a WIP at the moment, I have a lot of work to do on it.

As a lot of the older 501st members know, I have retired this costume as a wearable costume, so this is where he will live from now on, as a 1:1 scale prop :)

The first step will be to un-attach the arms again, and cut and Fiberglass them into a more dynamic position, that suits Boba, and so he can hold the EE3 blaster.

Then its make/sculpt/cast a head so I can get the bucket on.
Actually have to do that twice, cos I have a full torso headless mannequin that I may put the Spartan on.

Still, I am happy with the Mannequin as it only cost my $50.00

heres a shot of how it looks at the moment.

Will be particularly interested to see this. Should really make it look the part.

Looks great :) I understand about modding it to hold a blaster, pretty hard to find any mannequin that can hold anything. $50 is a good deal though :)

Would love to get more of our costumes on display - much better than sitting in a box somewhere :)

I can let you know if any more come up, the guy I bought my torso off gets them every now and then (he is a dealer of old shop and building fittings) and has put me down as first contact for any mannequins that come up (male female)
