Batten down the hatches

Post by badges2nz »

Just a quick message to everyone out there being battered by the cyclone.
I see that new Plymouth and Wanganui will be hit quite hard, some of Auckland has had their fair share too.
I hope everyone is ok, let us know how you are doing, if you need any help reach out and well see what we can try to organise.
Above all else take care of yourselves and keep in touch.
Doomsday and Armageddon got together and had a baby and man is it ugly.

Thanks for the good wishes, badges, but we're ok here. Quite a long way from the river. Good excuse to spend the day in the shed!

We are quite some distance above the river, even at its highest level ever. We had about six inches rain in total. My friend was evacuated, but he's back home without problems.

Feeling very sad for the poor folks in Edgecumbe, though. Anyone from the forum affected?
