Website/forum integration

I'm making a few changes to further integrate, conceptually and functionally, the SWNZ news site and these forums, to encourage people to use both. You might have noticed a slight simplification in the header link bar here on the forums...this is because the same header bar will soon appear on the SWNZ news site too.

Here's a link to a development version of the site, if anyone is interested to see where it is heading. Still have a few routines to work out.

The first new features are access to PM alerts while on the SWNZ news page, and a revamp of the SWNZ Calendar, which should now take your timezone in to account.

This integration works really well Matt. Just out of curiosity, how does the 'View new forum posts' link operate? Does it display the new posts since you were last on the site, or does it show all posts that have gone up in the previous X number of hours?

"View new (forum) posts" should bring up all threads with posts that you haven't viewed.

Cool. That'll make keeping abreast of the discussions much easier.
