Forums down-time

Post by MattG »

We're looking at doing some software upgrades to these forums very soon (as the PHP version is holding back the main SWNZ.co.nz website).

If you visit these forums and encounter an offline message over the next little while, don't panic :)

We'll update with all the new feature details once everything is in place.

Once testing has completed for the new software, upgrading will take place later today. Some changes may be noticeable before the forums temporarily go offline.

Phase one is complete. Forums are back up, and all the data should have been ported over.

Board software has been upgraded, and this has allowed PHP to be upgraded to 7.2 across the entire SWNZ server.

Please bear with me while I finalise the board style, and re-implement some of the customisations that need to be separately upgraded.

One significant advantage of this new software is that it should be fully responsive and therefore work a whole lot better on phones/mobile devices. Tapatalk should still work, but if you tend to browse the forums from your phone, consider giving the main forum site a try now :)

Updates are now all complete, and all the notable functionality from the previous forums should be in place.

If you notice anything that doesn't appear to be working as intended, or have any questions regarding changes in functionality, feel free to post here. :)
