Haha yer it's off to the left in the cupboard. Tomorrow will be a bigger day of coating it as I only had 15 mins to lay that down before heading to work for the night.

Once I wake up tomorrow I'll get back into it and make myself a better application tool (sliced up ice cream container) so I can make a better rounded surface.

Looks cool. What are you using for the bogging and filling?

I started using some Repco branded body filler which I've just ran out of and now have some CRC branded filler I got from Mitre 10. So pretty much any body filler I can lay my hands on as they're all pretty similar in the end.

Just laid about the 3rd layer of bog down on the one side of the dome, the general shape is nearly done, will have to curve it slightly more with some sanding and bog. But am happy with how it's coming out already.

Been working on making sure the crown of the dome has a nice straight Ridge through it. Had to file it back and straighten it. Not quite 100% done with it yet but it's getting close. Then will do other half of dome.

Hi alll,

Been a wee while since I posted some updates. Been a busy last week with work and having our engagement party etc.

Today I've finished up the ridge line as much as I can for now. Started on the opposite sides visor and will start on the other part of the dome today too.

Looking very nice indeed! There seems to be a fair bit of bogging needed to get that rounded look. Quite a job you've got there!

I've made about three starts at doing a complete re-mesh of the build, but it'll have to wait till I've got some more time - and skills...

Thanks. Yer the dome takes a fair bit of bog. I've got both sides done now and damned near identical. I just need to sharpen the ridge line up and accidently flattened it in the middle of the dome.

With your modeling, skills will come from spending more time on it. Time is usually the biggest issue we all face. Just keep at it. Ten or twenty mins here or there will keep ya sharp on it.

One final pic for this evening. Dome is nearly done and one side of visor is starting to shape up nicely

Thanks mate. Still a fair way to go. Have some edges to line up properly I noticed in that pic.
