I've seen a few collecting sites say that Hasbro will have the figure on-line 28th July... I'd certainly prefer to buy direct than via ebay (using my US mailbox).

Here's the liveblog from the first Publishing panel, on StarWars.com. Looks like the highlights are that Chewbacca will get a 5-issue comic series, and the post-ROTJ novel, Aftermath, is actually the first in a trilogy of novels.
