Brian Bolland is once again behind this dramatic vehicle scene, in a half-page Palitoy advert from Prog 141, 1 Dec 1979.

In 2000AD Prog 207, 11 Apr 1981, you could mail away to get a free Dengar figure from Palitoy.

Maybe not quite as cool as the Boba Fett offer, but a free figure is a free figure.

Prog 178, 20 Sep 1980, had a double dose of advertising. Palitoy promoted their The Empire Strikes Back action figures and vehicles with an interpretation of the movie took a few liberties with the details, and a repeat of Boba Fett mail away offer (cut down to a 1/3rd column).

To wrap things up, there were the 2000AD issues that had reviews of the Original Trilogy movies.

The review of Star Wars came out in issue Prog 44, 24 Dec 1977.

Wrapped this all up into an article on SWNZ - http://www.swnz.co.nz/2019/05/10/when-2 ... star-wars/

Still have a few gaps I need to fill over time (there were a lot of adverts for Airfix kitset models, for example), so more eBay hunting to do.
