Disney have released their release schedule, as it stands at the time of writing, for all of their movies (incl Fox, Marvel etc) from 2019 onwards.

https://www.waltdisneystudios.com/asset ... 5.7.19.pdf

It includes "Untitled Star Wars" movies in 2022, 2024, and 2026 (and Indiana Jones 5 in 2021). Not clear if those movies will be the previously announced Rian Johnson or Benioff & Weiss projects.

This leaves us with a schedule something like....
  • 2019 (Nov/Dec) The Mandalorian series
  • 2020 (Jan/Feb) The Mandalorian series (cont) +/- Cassian Andor series
  • 2021 Cassian Andor series +/- The Mandalorian season 2
  • 2022 (Dec) Untitled Star Wars Movie
  • 2023 ?
  • 2024 (Dec) Untitled Star Wars Movie
  • 2023 ?
  • 2026 (Dec) Untitled Star Wars Movie

I have to admit I wont be that upset if this turns out to be true.....I still get a bit annoyed with the 'JJ saved Star Wars' line, I wasnt aware it was dying. After petty much remaking Episode IV I wont be surprised if IX has a lot of aspects of ROTJ (again I so hope Im wrong)

I don't believe there are any other sources for that info, and it contradicts a number of other recent quotes straight from Rian and Kathleen.

Having said that, it is interesting that 3 films have been announced through to 2026, but not whether it will be Benioff + Weiss or Johnson.

I know most Star Wars news has to be taken with a grain of salt, usually a wait and see kind of situation, but it just seems that the noise around a Rian Johnson helmed trilogy is getting quieter and quieter.

Im honestly not sure if Kathleen will even be in control of Lucasfilm if/when these movies go into production, surely not all negative press for XIII can fall on Rian....she had a big hand in it to from all accounts. Im not ever going to jump on the SJW band wagon anytime soon....I dont care who plays what new role, male or female, just that the movies have plots and situations that follow in the same vein as the earlier films.
