Snagged this from JB HiFi last night. Gotta say though, I kinda feel it is one of Williams' weaker scores. Rey's theme is lovely and Snoke's music recalls the Palpatine stuff from ROTS nicely, but overall the soundtrack seems to lack any strong stand-out themes and melodies. Maybe I need to to listen to it a few more times to hear them. I loved the film, but have to say the score is a it of a disappointment to me. What do the rest of you think of it?

I'm really enjoying the soundtrack - but you're right Strone, it's got far fewer distinct themes than Williams's previous scores. Rey's theme is phenomenal, and I also really enjoy the first and final tracks. But the rest just isn't as memorable. I'm hoping a few more listen-throughs will change this though.

It's growing on me the more I listen to and become familiar with it, but I still find myself wishing for more melody in the more action-oriented tracks.

Also, I wish the source music from Maz's place was on the CD. I hope here will be a two-disc set including all the music from the film at some point in the future.
