I heard a minor whisper about this and thought nothing of it. Then saw your post your post Matt on Facebook and thought it actually makes sense to have the channel especially with a certain one out in the cinema soon.
I told my wife that at the end of this month I was going to cancel movies as we hardly watch them......well I've officially scratched that idea and movies will stay.

Given that the screenshot says "Available to SKY MOVIES customers only", I think it's safe to say "Yes". I showed my fiancee Matt's post on FB and she pointed out we don't have Movies

Like I said on FB - I wonder if they'll include the Ewok movies, and any TV shows to help fill it....seven movies (yes I'm counting The Clone Wars) doesn't seem much to keep an entire channel running to mid-December!

It is likely related to a wider international deal between Sky and Lucasfilm. Sky in Germany is getting a Star Wars pop up channel from December 1st to 14th, so we'll probably see the same here, as lead up to Episode 7 -

The 24/7 Star Wars channel will feature all of the major Star Wars movies, which will be shown in the correct timeline, starting with Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace and ending with Star Wars: Episode VI – The Return of the Jedi. In addition, the channel has secured the rights to a slew of featurettes and documentaries. Twenty featurettes will air as part of the pop up channel, along with two documentaries.

When we saw Spectre last week not only did the TFA trailer screen, but they also had one for this. I was so psyched because I thought they were going to have a marathon at our local cinema, but it was still amazing to see classic scenes on the big screen. It gave me chills!
