Vans x Star Wars

For me, this is one of the coolest collabs, ever (especially since both Star Wars and Vans have been part of my life since I was a kid).

I've bought eight pairs of kicks, so far, mostly as gifts (even though, yes, I know that shoes don’t always make the best gifts), but I have a two pairs of the shoes for myself.

I couldn't find the other thread – but maybe I’m imagining having seen it? – but Kristy has a few posts on her website ‘bout the collab:

Check out the official site, too:

The first and third are mine, but the second belong to a kid named Lucas… yup, Lucas!

Aloha, Mr. Hand! I mean, Yoda!

This collab, which include these socks from Vans, is just too cool!

These are nicely executed products indeed. I'm sure Kristy will get to posting pics of hers soon.

These are a great line of shoes - as a female Star Wars fan it's great to see the designs available in women's sizes (most of the Adidas x Star Wars collection was only available in men's sizes).

I ended up choosing an exclusive design (from Journey's, a footwear website), featuring Luke vs Vader. I reviewed them on my website too :) While this style is sold out, Journey's has 11 styles on their website, including 4 exclusives and they ship internationally! :)

Why'd you have to post that link?

Now, I want more!

Hmm... it looks like Adidas has the license, again, so does that mean Vans is out of the game?

If so, that's a bummer (and means I better stock up).

I could be wrong, but I think Adidas has held the license since that first footwear collection. A quick ebay search gives a lot more items than those first collections, it feels like they've just kept going (it can be quite hard to keep track of this stuff, not all of these licensed collections make it beyond US stockists). I certainly don't remember furry Wampa shoes...

You could be right!

It seems Vans only had the license for a year, which has lapsed, so I'm gonna have to stock up on my favourite kicks before they become collectibles.
