Last weekend, I was lucky enough to be invited to a one-off 3D screening of Attack of the Clones in the States, which was hosted by Dennis Muren… obviously, I jumped at the chance!
Here's Dennis' introduction to the film (that was followed by a Q&A, too):

Truly, they thought outside the box, if you'll excuse the pun!

That post makes me grin, 'cause Dennis is 'bout 6'6", at least… he dwarfed me when "directing" our selfie!

Re: ATTACK OF THE CLONES in 3D!
This was just the cherry!
In San Francisco for a long weekend, I still managed to pack in some epic Star Wars adventures, which boggle even my warped mind!
I spent some time chilling at Imagination Park in San Anselmo:
Before taking a private tour of Lucasfilm and Industrial Light & Magic at the Presidio:
(Note: We were only allowed to take photos in reception and out the front with the Yoda Fountain, since the rest of the tour was eyes-only, which was actually kind o' neat.)
Then we drove to Skywalker Ranch and Big Rock to "grab some wine":
Before we caught up with Steve Sansweet at his pad:
Steve has a bit of a collection... *ahem*
Then, I got invited to this screening, where I spent a bit of time speaking with two of ILM's most legendary people!
Speaking of ILM, we had to visit the original premises, too:
This was a great start to the summer, for sure!
I'm amped for April! ****, I'm amped for tomorrow and the teaser!

Re: ATTACK OF THE CLONES in 3D!
Matt, it was beyond cool!
Obviously, ILM hasn’t been there – in any form – in quite some time, but the building isn’t empty: it’s now full of batting cages!
We spoke to the manager, who knew of the history, which is why he has plans to get a Yoda to sit in the corner of the building to keep watch (I reckon that is pretty cool).
Speaking of Kerner Optical (the name being created, back in the day, to keep nosy fans away from the place), the original door now hangs in Lucasfilm. I wanted to grab a photo with it. But, as I’ve said, we couldn’t take any past a certain point.
Here’s what it looks like, anyway:
Photo by Bonnie Burton (via her Flickr)
Some Lucasfilm employees have thought that the door actually leads to a secret boardroom, ‘til being corrected by others, who are a bit wiser… no joke, either!
Also on display at Lucasfilm is the Anderson Optical Printer, which is the big beastie that was tasked with compositing all the optical elements for the effects in the original trilogy (and every other film that ILM worked on, right up ‘til 1993, actually).
There were other cool things, too.

I know, I saw it That's why I'm impressed that you went out to the Kerner Co site.Harvey Mushman wrote:...

We were allowed to take photos when we went through.
