Really scungy old belt from an op shop. Cost a dollar - the only actual cash outlay specifically for this build so far. The rest is from stuff in the shed.

All metal bits secured. Just needs wrapping now. And lots of weathering.

Cheers, badges! It's coming on nicely. Making a big push on the cloth covering over the next few days. Will post some more progress pics tomorrow.

Here's one now. I'm using contact cement so the glue won't show through, so it takes longer waiting for each strip to dry before wrapping it onto the base.

Some more progress now that our Christmas guests have departed. Still quite a few more wraps to apply - some thinner ones, plus then there'll be a lot of weathering. Then to make a display base and it'll be finished.
