Stormtrooper armour sculpt but really quickly

Post by oota goota »

hey all my daughter wants to go as a stormtrooper to this weeks school disco. I have foolishly offered to make her the top part of the armour and lend her my helmet.

Much to my surprise adult sized armour isn't going to fit her so I'm going to try and knock some forms this week.

Disco is on Thursday.

Plenty of time

Right?

LOL. At least she chose armour you're familiar with, and which doesn' t require painting.

Good luck!

Thank you bro! I'll post pics as I go. I've got the basic shapes blocked out and glued together. Hopefully the shaping will be quick and painless what could possibly go wrong :)

I must be off my head. Ok it's Wednesday night here are the forms:

and a comparison with my full size forms:

I've pulled a few pieces they are good for a prototype but could do with some additional finishing/ adjusting. But who's got time! The plan is to smash out the rigging and fixing after work tomorrow and what doesn't get done will be taped :)

It's been fun making these mini-me armour pieces, pretty easy to shape up and fun to make

Dude... Photobucket doesn't allow 3rd-party image posting anymore. :(

You can upload it as attachment, and SWNZ will host it. The "Upload Attachment" tab/button just below/left of the post text box. Some further instructions are here (although the appearance is a little different as it is based on the old website style): viewtopic.php?f=10&t=26

ok here's a few pics including the finished armour and helmet. The armour went over well at her disco, of course before the gig they played Marco Polo with the helmet on backwards (why haven't I thought of that)
