Oota Goota stormtrooper lid assembly/paint commission

Post by Postie »

Ahoy everyone, thought I'd post a few pics of a Oota lid I was asked to build & paint before it's packed up & posted down the line.
Jon's helmet kit is awesome value for the money with all the parts needed to complete the job & once riveted & screwed together is one of the sturdier buckets I've put together.
The owner wants to have it as a display & requested that the finish on the helmet represent how the screen used props look today, aged & a bit tatty with the decals having a slightly rough hand painted In a hurry look. Hope he likes it!!

Top notch work, as always.

Although my TK helmets are all minty finishes, I do like this idea of prop-accurate weathering (and will probably get around to getting one in my collection at some point).

Very nice work Postie.

There seems to be an upswing in the number of helmets being finished as if they are original HDPE buckets. I do like the look of them. I, too, may add one one day.

Oota - how much for a bucket kit please? And how much for one of the ones that fails (but you haven't drop-kicked around the studio) ;)
