so here i am almost finished! had a few 'mares with the stock. Got a perfect bakelite look, but then had a paint incompatibility problem!! i was able to rub it off like it was cling film even after a few days left to cure, plus gassing etc. not good! so i wet sanded it all back and started over! end result for the stock is not perfect but defiantely passable, which right now will do. as for the rest of the gun i gave it all a few more washes of brown and black to really weather it up. picked out and highlighted with dry brushed rub n buff. and the end result i'm quite happy with. glued and readyish to roll. i still need to add a few bits like the tripod mount halfway down the barrel( still deciding if glue will be strong or just drill and screw the whole thing to the barrel. still debating if i want an inner barrel or not, if i get some t tracks i wont bother coz it wont be seen as it stands now.....anyway pics for your perusal:

Thanks again to OGA for an excellent product! I've always wanted a DLT19 and now Im ready to rock the BFG!! As soon as this ban gets lifted, shes gunna get her debut!

Mate, that is some seriously beautiful weathering.
That second pic with the closer up of the barrel - bloody hell it looks amazing! :woot:

nice one Josh looks amazing you did a great job resurrecting that casting :) are you still going to put t track and all that stuff on it?

Yup eventually. I'm trying a few options for t tracks the scratch built ones are not going to stand up to trooping so binned that idea...

This is looking fantastic Josh. Putting the extra effort into the 'B' will certainly make it an 'A'. ;)
