I've just had confirmation of the rom/fx unit from the UK.
It should be about three weeks away provided there is no delay with christmas postage.

That's very true, I think I'm addicted to shopping, just the fact that you have something new to open and play with plus the new box smell, or maybe I'm just nutsPostie wrote:Hope it gets here fast for you fella, nothing better than finding a brown box at the door when you get home!

Here is the belt so far, yes it is a bit rough but i'll work on accuracy later
I still have another belt box to work on obviously
The belt boxes were from jaycar along with the green illuminated push button switches and red led bezzel.

Here is a picture of the mesh and black out fabric for the face on the helmet, this is very hard to get as I have looked through scrap metal yards and security door manufacturers for this and still found nothing.
I managed to get this by fluke.

Re: Darth Vader costume coming together
I have made a little bit more progress this time on the helmet.
I have installed three fans, two in the fore head and one in the mouth.
I have also installed a face plate harness which cost me about $15.00 approx.
The mouth mesh and black out fabric has also been installed and looks really good as the original mouth mesh was only painted and glued twine.

Re: Darth Vader costume coming together
I still have to finish the wiring of the fans to a 9 Volt battery along with a micro switch that I can reach with my finger to turn on and off.
Once my voice box comes in I will have to try the set up with my tactical throat microphone as my boom mic has gone walkies and I didn't like wearing it under my AT AT driver helmet, always came loose and shifted to an uncomfortable place down further on my ear and felt like it was cutting the ear off.
