Question: what's the best way to lock the two sections together in away that it's easy to take apart for transport etc!

Oota.......you the man (again)!
Snibo! That's great man and that's a very good question. On my first one I used a piece of bent brass to lock the inner barrel to the receiver. The flash suppressor can be glued onto the other end and obviously the outer barrel is wedged between the two. But I'm not sure if that brass pin idea is the best. It's hard to find the hole in the barrel again! so I'm wondering if a bigger pin might work. Like 5mm thick with a flat head that can be pushed into one of the vent holes in the front of the receiver. Gluing down the flash suppressor is still the way to go.

Hope that makes sense :) I've made Robo's mg34 fixed and it's nice and solid.

ok good luck fulla

Dunno if you'd want to do this Snibo but I used a screw on system for mine. It's pretty durable and solid for trooping but requires a we bit of torque to get it to work. Bit of crc eased it up a bit. Check my build thread: http://swnz.dr-maul.com/forums/viewtopi ... &view=next
Sorry jon don't want to derail your thread too much!

This was an old photograph that I had and just took a pic of it on my cork floor.
The gun collection was in the center of a house with concrete reinforced walls and metal welded sheets on top of the ceiling, I had installed access control and security around the house for the collection.

Run 2!

I'm quietly hopeful there will be a second second in your second run ;)
