Naked C3PO

Post by cloneone44 »

Just wondering if anyone out there had ever built a full size naked C3PO. I've been collecting old electronic gear, plugs, cords and wires for months and putting together schematics to build such a beast. Thought if anyone had built one, I could see if they had any problems that I might encounter and avoid.

It's been a slow start but I have started. I decided to work from the floor up, so feet to the torso are coming along, at least the frame (bones) of it. Been collecting scraps of wire from local electrician shops as well as buying up on TradeMe.

Hoping to get some advice from someone out there. I'm looking for a sandable but slightly flexible gap filler for EVA foam. I've done some research online but can't find the brands in NZ. The hardware store workers can't really offer any advice. I've seen Polyfilla 380g Sandable Gap Filler in Bunnings that looks like it will do the job.

Can anyone offer any suggestions? Thanks
