Wedge Antilles joins New Tricks

Post by Buzz Bumble »

Denis Lawson is joing the UK detective show New Tricks as a regular cast member. His first episode, according to TV Guide, plays in New Zealand on Prime tonight (7:30pm, Saturday, 8 June, 2013).

Force to reckon with
New Tricks, Prime, 7:30pm, Saturdays
Hands up anyone who can tell us who played Wedge Antilles, the X-wing starfighter pilot who helped to blow up the Death Star and win the war in the original three Star Wars movies? Too late - it was Denis Lawson who joins the retired coppers' club of UCOS (Unsolved Crimes and Open-case Squad) as tough former Glasgow cop Steve McAndrew, who replaces Jack Halford. With Jack's sudden departure still raw for the team, McAndrew is bound to rub the obsessive Brian "Memory" Lane up the wrong way.
