EA plans to release a new Star Wars game annually

In an article by PC Gamer, Entertainment Art’s chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen has reportedly confirmed that EA plans to release a new Star Wars game every year, from 2017 onwards. He also mentions that ‘Battlefront’ will return in 2017, “with bigger and better worlds, because we now have the new movies to work off“. The Star Wars Show

After more than a year in the making, the StarWars.com team have launched a new video series, titled ‘The Star Wars Show’. In this first epsiode, hosts Andi Gutierrez and Pete Townley talk about the latest Star Wars news, and even show a segment of previously unreleased footage from The Force Awakens! Kathleen Kennedy and Gareth Edwards at Celebration

The latest Celebration Europe announcement revealed Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and ‘Rogue One’ director Gareth Edwards will be attending! They will appear at an opening day event on July 15th at the convention, and will be joined by ‘some special guests’ for a ‘Rogue One’ panel. Many fans hoping for a few ‘Rogue One’ actors to attend, akin to the massive J.J. Abrams/The Force Awakens panel at Celebration Anaheim, but we’ll have to wait and see – read the announcement at StarWars.com

Full version of ‘Jabba Flow’ song now available

To celebrate Star Wars Day on May the 4th, StarWars.com released the full version of the song ‘Jabba Flow’, as heard in Maz Kanata’s castle in ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’. You can listen to it for free on StarWars.com – or purchase the song on iTunes

Variety announces ‘Han Solo’ lead casting

The Variety website announced that Alden Ehrenreich has been officially cast as the young Han Solo for the upcoming stand alone film. While this has yet to be confirmed through official Star Wars news outlets, Alden has long been rumored to be among the front runners for the role – read the full article at Variety.com

Disney discontinues Disney Infinity game

On May 10th, Disney announced it would be discontinuing the Disney Infinity game. There were multiple Star Wars releases for the game, with playable characters from the original trilogy, prequel trilogy, Rebels television series and The Force Awakens.
