‘Rebels’ AT-DP Vehicle

Many of the vehicles and designs showing up in the Star Wars: Rebels animated series are based on the concept art that predates the respective movies of the original trilogy. The AT-DP walker vehicle, for instance, is based on AT-ST concept art by Joe Johnston. Some kiwi Star Wars fans might remember seeing this vehicle in other media – an interpretation by artist Al Williamson appeared in the New Zealand Woman’s Weekly magazine in May of 1981, in the weekly comic 1-page comic strip.
