SWNZ in the Reader’s Digest

The latest issue (May 2005) of the New Zealand edition of the Reader’s Digest magazine features a bit of a shout out for SWNZ. In the context of the Revenge of the Sith movie release, the magazine takes a look at Star Wars fandom in an article with the (slightly cliche) title “Revenge of the Nerds”. Their coverage isn’t harsh howver, and includes quotes from famous collector Steve Sansweet and Mary Henderson (author of the Star Wars: Magic of Myth book). Because this is a local edition of the magazine, it includes some supplementary material with a kiwi flavour – although this is largely in the form of a couple of sound bites truncated down from more complete and accurate details, it is nice to have the SWNZ website referenced and rendered visible to a wide audience.
